Money off vouchers are included on every plan. Percentage discounts are included from the Small Business plan up, and can be added to a Free plan account from the Enhance LoyaltyLion page. Both work on Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and custom platforms.

Overview
Discount rewards let you give your customers a voucher they can redeem against any item in your store. LoyaltyLion offers flat and percentage discounts, and you can set a minimum spend on either one when you create it.
The Purchase type decides whether the discount applies to one-time orders, subscription orders, or both. Subscription discount rewards covers the subscription options in full.
You can also limit a discount reward to a single collection on Shopify. That option is switched on per account, so contact our Support team if you would like it. Otherwise, use a collection discount voucher to restrict a discount to one collection.
Types of discount rewards
Flat discount
This reward gives your customers a set amount of money off their order, such as $10 off. Flat discounts are the most widely used reward on LoyaltyLion, and offering several at different point costs is a good way to keep customers engaged as their balance grows.
Percentage discount
This reward gives your customer a percentage off their basket total. A percentage discount is a good way to improve engagement and increase your average order value.
How to set up a discount reward
In LoyaltyLion, go to Program, then Rewards
Click Create reward
Select the Discount reward
Select the type of discount you want: Fixed amount or Percentage
Set the Purchase type and any Minimum purchase requirements. The Reward name is generated for you at this point and cannot be edited until the reward exists
Click Create
Your new reward then appears in your rewards list, ready for your customers to claim.
Editing the reward title
We generate the reward name when you create the reward. Once it exists you can rename it: open it from your rewards list, change Reward name in the Display section, and click Save changes.
Other settings
A discount reward also offers:
A cost for each tier. If your program has tiers, you set a points cost per tier rather than a single cost
Customer redemption limit. How many times one customer can redeem this reward in a period you choose
Inventory limit. A cap on how many can be redeemed across your whole program
Discount code prefix. Replaces the default LL- on generated codes. This needs the Advanced plan
Discount combinations. Whether this reward stacks with other discounts on your site
Reward expiration period. Covered below
Reward expiry
We recommend adding a 6 month expiration to your rewards. An expiration date:
encourages customers to use their rewards, and creates urgency as the deadline approaches
increases your communication with customers, if you have events enabled for your email or SMS integrations
helps you manage your outstanding rewards liability
Reward expiry is available on Shopify, on the Classic plan and above.
Minimum spend
A minimum spend sets the order total a customer needs to reach before they can use their discount. You can add one when you create the reward, and change it at any time after that.
To update it, open the reward from your rewards list, change Minimum spend under Minimum purchase requirements, and click Save changes.
We generally suggest setting flat discount rewards without a minimum spend, so your customers are encouraged to come back and make a second purchase. If you do set a minimum spend on a percentage discount, setting it higher than your current average order value is a good way to increase that average.
Claiming the reward
Your customer goes to your loyalty page and finds the discount reward in the Rewards section. This is what it looks like from a customer's perspective:
FAQ
Can I adjust the settings for my discount reward?
Some of them. You can change the reward's title, its points cost and its minimum spend at any time. Open the reward from Program, then Rewards, make your change, and click Save changes.
You cannot change the discount amount, the discount type, or the collection once the reward is live. To offer a reward with any of those changed, create a new one and refund the unused rewards your customers are still holding, so they can claim the new reward instead.
