Pre-loved items are tagged and added to a collection in Shopify, by Recurate. Merchants can then create a rule, that would allow you to give extra points on all items in this collection, incentivising your customers to shop pre-loved!

This works great with other eco-initiatives, shows sustainable practices, and gives your customers a little extra for buying something used over a new product.

The process of adding the tags to items, and adding the items to a collection, will be handled from within the Recurate platform and will be present in Shopify. After setting up Recurate, the following will need to be set up in LoyaltyLion:

1. Login to your LoyaltyLion account.

2. Click on the tab Manage.

3. On the left find Activity rules and click Create new rule.

4. From here, click on Purchase from a specific collection.

For the Recurate integration, you will need to enter the Collection ID for your Used items tagged by Recurate.

6. When you are happy with the bonus points provided per item, you can click Create Rule to save.
