How to integrate LoyaltyLion with Recharge?
1. Log in to your LoyaltyLion account
2. Click on the tab Manage
3. On the left-hand side of the screen, click Settings > Integrations
4. Under Available integrations, click on Recharge
5. Click on Connect to Recharge.
6. This will redirect you to Recharge's website to log in. Please follow the steps in the new window to install the integration and complete the setup.

How to create rewards that work with Recharge
Discount Rewards
In order to set up subscription rewards that work on the Recharge portal, please read our documentation on Subscription rewards.
Product Rewards
For product rewards, you will need to ensure that you use the Recharge-specific product reward variants. These can only be claimed on a Recharge subscription, and will need to be set up separately from other product rewards.
You can create these by going to Rewards, then Create new reward, and choosing the Free Product (subscriber) option.
You can then search for the subscription product you would like to offer.
How to Add a Discount to an Existing Subscription?
Discount Rewards
Customers can redeem their points for rewards on the Loyalty Page or in the Customer Accounts section. They can then copy the code using the clipboard button, or manually, and take the code to the Recharge Portal. Click on the Discount option on the order, and paste the code in.
Product Rewards
Product rewards are even easier to add, as you do not need to copy a code. Redeem the reward, choose your variant, and then apply the reward to your Subscription. This reward product will now be added to the next subscription, and can be viewed in the subscription portal.
Recharge referrals
The Recharge integration allows you to reward customers for referring friends who purchase subscription-based products, as well as for one-off purchases. When customers trigger the refer-a-friend rule, they will receive points if the referred customer purchases a subscription-based product.
FAQ's
Q. Are my Recharge customers automatically enrolled in the program?
Customers will only become enrolled in the program when they create an account in your store.
Q. Will customers get points for subscription orders even if they don't have Recharge integration with LoyaltyLion?
Yes - Subscription orders are still processed as orders, and customers will still get points for them.
Q. What's the difference between the first purchase of a subscription and the second?
Typically, the first purchase of the subscription will go through Shopify and the Shopify checkout. As this is going through Shopify, you can use Shopify codes on this purchase.
For all subsequent purchases, they will be ran through the Recharge checkout/portal. So you'll need to ensure that those rewards are available for subscriptions.
Q. My customer cannot redeem a product, it says they must have a subscription. How can I fix this?
This is likely because LoyaltyLion has not registered this customer as having a subscription. We get subscription information from Recharge through the Shopify customer metafield for Recharge ID. You can manually add the Recharge ID to the customer metafield, and this will send this over to LoyaltyLion, and allow your customer to redeem their rewards.
