How does it work?

You can offer your customers points when they follow you on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. These activity rules are a good way to increase your store's social awareness as well as offering your customers additional ways to engage with your loyalty program.

Success tip: We would advise keeping the number of points you offer for the social following rules to a low number - for example 20 points for each rule (based on your setup being 5 pts/$1 spent).

Our social activity rule will be completed within a few seconds of a customer opening the facebook window after clicking the activity button. Attribution is set for click-though as social media providers do not pass back information about users activity.

A customer will only be given points for social activities once



Follow us on Facebook

Setting up the rule:

  • URL to like: You will need to enter your Facebook page URL (or any other Facebook page - ie. your blog's Facebook page).

  • Title: by default, the activity title is "Like us on Facebook" - but you can edit that to any title you like

  • Notification: this is set to "#{{points}} for liking our page on Facebook" - you can change this too!


Follow us on Instagram

Setting up the rule:

  • Instagram handle to follow: You will need to enter your Instagram handle here Note: you do not need to add "@" before the handle

  • Title: by default, the activity title is "Follow us on Instagram" - but you can edit that to any title you like

  • Notification: this is set to "{{points}} for following us on Instagram" - you can change this too!

  • Description: You may add a description to be displayed to customers next to the "follow" button


Follow us on Twitter

Setting up the rule:

  • Twitter handle to follow: You will need to enter your Twitter handle here
    Note: you do not need to add "@" before the handle

  • Title: by default, the activity title is "Follow us on Twitter" - but you can edit that to any title you like

  • Notification: this is set to "{{points}} for following us on Instagram" - you can change this too!

  • Description: You may add a description to be displayed to customers next to the "follow" button
