How Smartrr and LoyaltyLion work together
Smartrr is a subscriptions app for Shopify stores, with a branded subscriber account portal.
There is nothing to install or connect in LoyaltyLion. You create a Discount reward for subscriptions, your customers claim it for points, and they apply the code to their subscription in their Smartrr customer portal.
Before you start
The subscription options in a Discount reward only appear when all of these are true:
Your store is on Shopify
Your program uses the loyalty page, not the classic loyalty widget
LoyaltyLion has permission to create discounts in your Shopify store
How to create a discount for Smartrr subscriptions
In LoyaltyLion, go to Program, then Rewards.
Click Create reward, then select Discount.
Under Purchase type, choose Subscription, or Both to cover one-time orders as well.
Under Recurring subscription payments, choose how many payments the discount covers. Leave Apply discount to future subscription payments unticked for 1 payment, or tick it and choose Limit discount to a set number of payments or Discount all future payments.
Set the discount value and points cost, and click Create.
Your reward appears in your rewards list, and the codes your customers claim from it work on subscriptions in Smartrr. For every setting, see subscription discount rewards.
How your customers use a discount on their Smartrr subscription
Your customer opens your loyalty page and goes to Rewards.
They choose the reward they want.
They redeem it for points.
They copy the code.
They paste it into the discount code field in their Smartrr customer portal and click Apply.
