How to connect Tapcart
You need an active account on both platforms.
In LoyaltyLion, go to Settings, then API keys, and click Create API key.
Tick the all scope, then click Create.
Copy the token and store it safely. You cannot view it again once you close the box.
Note your site ID. It is the number after /sites/ in your LoyaltyLion URL.
In Tapcart, go to Integrations, find LoyaltyLion Rewards, and click Connect.
Enter your API key and site ID, then click Save & Enable.
Building the loyalty experience in Tapcart
Once LoyaltyLion is connected, you build what your customers see in Tapcart’s App Studio. Tapcart covers this in their LoyaltyLion integration guide.
Supported rules & rewards
Rules
Customers can earn points in the app for:
Placing an order
Creating an account
A birthday or anniversary
Downloading the app
Turning on push notifications
The last two are Custom action rules you create in LoyaltyLion, with these settings:
Download the app: identifier download_the_app, approval method Immediate
Turn on push notifications: identifier enable_push_notifications, approval method Immediate
In the Ways to Earn block in Tapcart you can reorder or hide these. If a new rule does not appear in Tapcart, use the Reset button in the loyalty settings to pull in the update, then reapply your ordering and visibility.
