Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of security when signing into your LoyaltyLion account. When MFA is enabled, you must enter your email address, password, and a one-time code generated by an app.

LoyaltyLion supports one-time passwords for MFA, which can be configured with many authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.

Who can use MFA?

MFA is available to all LoyaltyLion users, on all plans.

Enabling MFA

  1. Log in to LoyaltyLion, click your name in the top right and go to your "Profile settings"

  2. Click "Set up MFA" and follow the instructions

Signing in without access to your authenticator app

When you set up MFA, you'll be shown a list of backup codes. Each code can be used once to sign in to your account if you don't have access to your authenticator app. You won't be able to view these codes again, so please store them somewhere safe and secure.

If you run out of codes, you can regenerate them by turning off MFA and then turning it back on. This will require setting up your authenticator app again.

If you have lost access to your authenticator app and don't have any backup codes, please contact LoyaltyLion support and we'll help you recover your account.
