Review your program
Before anyone sees your program, go through it once as though you were a customer.
Design. Check the program looks like the rest of your brand: your colors, your wording, your imagery.
Rules and rewards. Check each one awards the points you expect and that every button does what it should. If you have customized your loyalty page with our SDK, check those parts too.
If you would rather try all of this on a live program without your customers finding it, you can test it privately first.
Make your program visible
Three separate things control whether your customers can reach your program, and all of them need to be on:
Your loyalty page in LoyaltyLion. Go to Display, then Store components, and check Loyalty page is set to visible.
Your loyalty page in Shopify. Check the page is visible in your Shopify store settings, not hidden or in draft.
A link your customers can find. Add your program to your header, your footer, or both. A program nobody can navigate to is the most common reason a launch goes quiet.
Turn on the on-site notifications you want as well, under Display, then Store components, then Notifications. They are what prompt customers toward the program while they browse.
Check your emails
Your loyalty emails are how customers hear about points they have earned and rewards they can claim, so they matter as much as the program itself.
Turn your emails on. An email that is still switched off sends nothing, and nobody is told.
Check the design and content of each one, the same way you checked the program.
Connect your email platform, if you use one we integrate with, so your loyalty data reaches the tools you already send from.
Tell your customers
Tell your audience the program exists and explain in plain language how it works. Day one is when you have the most attention, so it is worth spending on.
You can download your launch images to post, rather than making your own.
Launch
When you are ready, go to your LoyaltyLion account and click Launch program.
Your program can take up to 5 minutes to appear on your store. If it is not there straight away, wait before changing anything.
FAQ
My program has not appeared on my store. What should I check?
Give it 5 minutes first. After that, the usual cause is visibility: check your loyalty page is visible in both LoyaltyLion and Shopify, and that you have added a link to it somewhere your customers will see. If it is still missing, contact our Support team at support@loyaltylion.com.
Can I keep changing my program after launch?
Yes. Rules, rewards, design and emails can all be changed while your program is live, and your customers keep the points they have already earned.
