The LoyaltyLion Theme Editor is automatically enabled for all new LoyaltyLion accounts that have access to the Integrated Loyalty Page.
If you're an existing LoyaltyLion customer and would like to enable the Theme Editor, you can request this via our Support team at support@loyaltylion.com.
Overview
The Custom Block allows you to add your own custom code to the preexisting structure of the LoyaltyLion Theme Editor template. This gives you more flexibility with the page, allowing you to build upon your page and make it feel truly yours, without having to do any coding workarounds.
How it Works
Once you have started the setup for your loyalty page using the Theme Editor, you will be able to add the Custom Block.
Navigate to your Theme Editor Page within LoyaltyLion by going to:
Manage
From the sidebar > click On-site content
Under Loyalty Page > click on Customize
Launch Theme Editor
This will open up your Page Preview, on your Shopify store. You can find the Custom Block by going to Page, in the top left, and then clicking on "+ Add section" on the window that comes up on the right side.
This will open up the Custom Block editor:
You can enter your HTML code into the top box, and then your CSS code in the bottom box.
💡Tip: As everything is contained in the LoyaltyLion Theme Editor, you do not have to include the '#loyaltylion' id tag in your CSS code.
In the Menu option, you can choose if you want the Custom Block to show on your header navigation bar, and what you would like to name it, as well as the icon that would represent the block.
Once the Custom Block has been saved, you will now see it displayed in your Page window, in the list of components available on the screen. From here, you can rearrange where the Custom Block sits on your loyalty page, by changing the ordering.
You can also edit, hide and delete the Custom Block from here as well.
FAQs
Q: Can I have multiple Custom Blocks on my page?
Yes, you can have multiple Custom Blocks on the page at any one time.
Q: Do I have to use the Custom Blocks to create my Loyalty Page?
You do not have to, as the rest of the LoyaltyLion components are available on the page as standard. The Custom Blocks are available for brands who want to go the extra mile with their Loyalty Page and customize it further.
Q: Does the Custom Block hold anything except HTML and CSS?
Unfortunately, no, the Custom Block will only allow you to write in HTML and CSS code, as any scripts may affect the page as a whole. However, the Custom Block will allow you to enter LoyaltyLion references, such as the Referral Modal, for example.
