Overview
Customer account extensions enable you to integrate loyalty-specific features into your Customer Accounts portal seamlessly. By incorporating Customer account apps, you can boost customer engagement with your loyalty program, encourage reward redemption, and drive loyalty-specific activities. Embedding loyalty content into the portal enhances the overall performance of your program and promotes greater customer adoption.
Customer account apps:
You can add the following apps to your portal:
Loyalty page
This is a full-page app that can be discovered through the top nav in the customer accounts portal.
Within the Loyalty page, depending on how you've configured your program you will find the following sections:
Welcome messaging, points balance and activity
Tier status and progress
Reward progress and claimed rewards
Rules and activities and their status
Refer-a-friend link
Rewards and points needed
Product rewards
Loyalty status
The loyalty status app should live on your Order Index page and give your customers a snapshot of their loyalty status. It has a number of states depending on the customer and how you've configured your program. If you have tiers enabled, then we will show tier progress, and if the customer is working towards, has enough points, or has an unused claimed reward available, the content will dynamically update.
Points for order
The Points for order app lets customers know exactly how many points they earned on a specific purchase. This app should be added to the Order Summary page to increase the program's visibility and benefits.

Customer accounts extension app access:
All brands will have access to Customer account extensions and apps.
Customer account extensions are not available to brands on the Shopify Starter Plan.
Enabling Customer Account apps:
Two ways you can enable your Customer Account apps.
The first and simplest way is to head to your On-site Content section in the LoyaltyLion admin. Manage > On-site content and click the Setup button:
This will deep link you to your Shopify Checkout Editor. Where you will see the list of checkout apps on the left-hand side:
Clicking the (+) icon will add the app to the default position within your checkout pages. Once you have added the app, you will see a tick icon appear:

And you're all set!
The second approach would be to go directly through Shopify. Head to your Shopify store, head to Sales channel > Online store > Customise > In the drop-down, select Checkout and Customer Accounts > Apps. Here, you will see our full list of apps, and you can use the (+) icon to add to your checkout or customer account experiences.
For the best customer experience and loyalty engagement, we strongly recommend adding all Customer Account apps to your portal.

Q. Do Customer account apps help with enrolment?
Yes, having apps added to your customer accounts area will facilitate the enrolment of that customer when they land in the portal, as opposed to the Shopfront. You can learn more about our enrolment triggers in our Customer Accounts documentation.
Q. How do I get the most out of Customer account apps?
We recommend using your Loyalty page in conjunction with your Customer accounts loyalty page and apps. We also strongly recommend using our Checkout apps (Redeem at checkout, Refer a friend, and Points earned), which add more opportunities for your customers to engage with your program.

Q. Can I customize my Customer accounts portal?
Shopify's component library limits the styling in the portal. The benefits of this constraint are excellent Accessibility Standards and a best-in-class mobile experience.
Yes, you can customize your checkout apps like you customise any of your loyalty program strings within the Languages section of the admin.
Q. How does the Customer account Loyalty page work with other Loyalty experiences?
All your existing rules, activities, and tier configurations pass through, and it's just a different surface that customers can engage in your program. If you change any settings on your program, this will be represented across all your On-site content.
Q. Can I customize the content in my Customer accounts app?
Yes, you can customize your customer accounts apps in the same way as you customise and of your loyalty program strings, in the Languages section of the admin.
Q. Why are Customer accounts apps not rendering?

Q. Why are some rewards not available?
Seamless Free Product (SFP) rewards are not currently supported by Customer accounts portal. Due to the way that the portal works presently, being on a different domain, Shopify does not allow for cart modifications. SFP rewards can still be claimed through the usual methods you have set up.
