Why LoyaltyLion and Trustpilot?

Trustpilot currently boasts more than 41 million consumer reviews of 210,000 businesses, producing a TrustScore for each based on recent reviews. Every day, more than 40,000 consumers sign up on Trustpilot.com and every three seconds a new review is posted on the community.  

Using LoyaltyLion and Trustpilot together, you can reward your customers for leaving reviews.

Note: Your customers will only get points if they leave a review post-purchase through Trustpilot's after-purchase email

If customers leave a review ‘organically’ as Trustpilot calls it, that is not using the after-purchase email, then they won’t get any points.

This is because we won’t have their email address so we won’t be able to match up the reviewer with anyone in LoyaltyLion database.

How to integrate LoyaltyLion with Trustpilot?

1. Login to your LoyaltyLion account
2. Click on the tab Manage

3. On the left find Integrations and click Manage 

4. Find Trustpilot on the list and click Install Integration button

5. You’ll get redirected to Trustpilot’s website. Please approve the integration to finish setting up.

6. If the configuration went correctly you should see this message after clicking on Configure Integration button:

All that is left to do is to setup the activity rule so that your customers can start earning points for leaving reviews! 

How to setup Trustpilot reviews?

1. Login to your LoyaltyLion account
2. Click on the tab Manage

3. On the left find Activity rules and click Create new rule

4. Write a product review via Trustpilot

5. Amend the options and click Create rule to save.

6. Next time if you wish to change settings you can do it by clicking the Edit button next to the Trustpilot’s rules

How to update your Trustpilot template? 

To increase the number of reviews using LoyaltyLion and Trustpilot, add a line to your email notifying your customers about the points they will receive for leaving a review. 

E.g. Thank you for shopping with us, leave a review and earn 500 points.

Note: Your customers will only get points if they leave a review post-purchase through Trustpilot's after-purchase email.

In order to update your template:

1. Login to your Trustpilot account
2. Go to Get reviews
3. Select Template editor
4. Select the post-purchase template you wish to update
5. Insert information about loyalty points your customers will receive after leaving a review!

Reviewer to Referrer 

LoyaltyLion introduced a new email you can use to reach your customers who leave reviews - Reviewer to Referrer. Now after your customer leaves a review you can send an email encouraging them to refer their friend. 

Follow the steps to activate the Reviewer to Referrer:

  1. Make sure your Trustpilot rules are active.

2. Click on the Emails tab at the top of the page

3. Go to the bottom to your Encourage referrals section and click on Edit. 

4. This will take you to a familiar email customisation tab where you should click Turn on.

5. Here you'll be able to customise your email. In the Send settings tab, you can also choose the minimum required rating of the reviews. The email will only be sent to customers whose reviews are equal to or higher than this value. 

You can also choose a send delay - the amount of time between LoyaltyLion receiving the review and sending the Reviewer to Referrer email.
